Pricing
30p per paid ticket.
One standard rate. No set-up fee, no monthly minimum, no fee on free tickets, and nothing hidden in the checkout. Card-processing fees are charged separately by your payment provider.
Who pays the fee is your call
Try it with your own ticket price.
Add the 30p to the ticket and the buyer sees the whole amount from the first screen. Or absorb it and we bill you. You choose per event, and it locks once your first ticket sells so nobody’s price changes mid-run.
- The advertised price is always the total the buyer pays
- No fee is ever added at the last step of checkout
- Face value, platform fee and processing are stored separately, so reports are honest
The standard rate
Everything on one page.
Platform fee
Per paid ticket, in the event’s currency.
Free tickets
Registrations, juvenile tickets, volunteers, comps — anything with a £0 face value.
Set-up fee
Creating your organisation, connecting payments, building events.
Monthly minimum
On the standard rate there is none. Custom agreements may include one, agreed in writing first.
Card processing
Charged by your payment provider at their standard rates, deducted on their side. Ticead doesn’t mark this up.
Refunds
When a paid ticket is fully refunded, the platform fee on that ticket is credited back to your account.
Scanner, wallet passes, emails
Every event includes the offline scanner, Apple and Google Wallet passes and transactional email.
Euro events
EUR is priced per currency — we never assume £0.30 equals €0.30. Your rate is shown before you publish.
Volume and customer rates
Larger organisers and multi-event customers may be offered a lower per-ticket rate. Talk to us — we’ll put it in writing.
Fee handling
Two ways to handle 30p. Both honest.
Buyer funds the fee
£20.30 is the number on the event page, in the basket and on the receipt. You receive the full £20.00 face value; the fee comes through to Ticead.
Organiser absorbs the fee
A round £20.00 for the buyer. Ticead bills you 30p for this ticket on your monthly statement, itemised per event.
What you’ll never see
No small print doing big work.
- No set-up fee, no monthly minimum on the standard rate
- No fee on free tickets
- No fee change mid-event — the rate locks at your first paid order
- No holding your money — ticket revenue settles to your own account
- No “from 10p” headlines. If you’re offered a lower rate, it’s written down with its conditions.
- No VAT added while Ticead is not VAT-registered. If that changes, historic invoices don’t.
Pricing questions
Straight answers.
How is the platform fee collected if the buyer pays it?
The 30p is part of the total the buyer pays. Ticket face value settles to your payment account; the platform fee is collected by Ticead. Your statement shows both, per ticket, so the numbers reconcile.
How is it collected if I absorb it?
Ticead issues a monthly statement itemised by event, collected by direct debit or another agreed business payment method. Larger organisers can prepay ticket credits instead.
Does the fee change if I edit an event?
Once your first paid order comes in, the fee handling for that event is locked. Any change to your rate applies to future tickets only — never retrospectively.
What about VAT?
Ticead is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged on the platform fee. If that changes, the new treatment applies from an announced date and existing invoices are never rewritten.
Can we get a discount?
Customer-specific and volume rates exist and are agreed in writing with their conditions. We don’t advertise a headline “from” price because the standard rate is the one most organisers pay.
